The Dragon - May 5-9 2005

The 3rd annual MINIs on the Dragon run will take place May 5-9, 2005 at Deals Gap, North Carolina.

Its a 318 turns in 11 miles incredible 2nd gear roller coaster ride, continiously changing from idle to redline through major elevation changes with hardly a straightaway in sight.

There are a couple of Chicago area people attending the event this year, so feel free to post here or in the Club forum for plans to meet up and caravan down together.

OMG!!! That looks amazing. It's a month before my wedding however, so I think in the interest of not totally pissing off my fiance planning a trip such as this, I won't be able to join anyone. But, knowing this exists, I will get there eventually. :o)

Not sure how things wil be going at that time. I can say that I have reservations for a cabin at the fontana that I've had for a couple of months now. After I went last time I knew I had to go again. We may have separate cars by then, We'l be meeting the Michigan caravan in Ohio again. May meet up with another from middle IL on the way too. Long drive, but well worth it!
