Track Day invite (09/15)

Bill Nuccio Jr from Fox Valley Motorcars and Lamborghini Chicago has extended an invitation to our club to participate in their annual  track day at Autobahn Country Club in Joliet on Monday September 15th.

Besides  sharing the track with some really cool and exotic cars, he has offered our club a 10% discount. 

Below is more detailed information:

 Hello Fellow Enthusiasts-

It is that time of year again for our Track Day.  It is going to be held at Autobahn Country Club in  Joliet, IL. See www.autobahncountryclub.net for details and info on the track.

It is going to be held on Monday September 15th on the Full Track. It breaks down like this:

Green Group-  Beginners (broken into A and B groups)
Yellow Group-  Mid-level
Red Group  - Advanced + instructors
 
 7:30 - 8:30 Tech Inspection
8:30 - 8:45 Coffee Talk (cofee and pastries served)
8:45 - 9:00 Initial Track Intro
9:00 - 12:00 Yellow and Red groups alternate 1/2 hours on the South track and Green A and B groups alternate on the North track.

12:00 - 12:45 - Lunch Provided for everyone (sandwiches and beverages)
12:45 - 1:00 - Lunchtime touring laps (bring out a friend)

Full Track

1:00 - 1:30 Red
1:30 - 2:00 Yellow
2:00 - 2:30 Green A&B
2:30 - 3:00 Red
3:00 - 3:30 Yellow
3:30 - 4:00 Green A&B
4:00 - 4:30 Red and Yellow Open
4:30 - 5:00 Green A&B
It is a mere $299 to get signed up for the track and includes all track time, food and intsruction. For  Chicago MINI Motoring Club Members, please take an additional 10 % off.

I have been to several of their events, and had great instruction and lots of track time.

I am VERY biased and highly recommend this event. They are always a lot of fun. You can really learn a lot in a safe environment, and go your own pace with like drivers. There are good safety rules in place. It’s an awesome track and a great group of guys….

This is also the cheapest price I have seen for one of their events, especially w/ the club discount.

Unfortunately for me, it’s on a Monday, but I am going to try to clear my schedule to go.

For $10 more than Fox Valley’s regular price, you can drive Blackhawk Farms near Rockford both Saturday and Sunday (September 13 & 14), lunches included, and still go to work on Monday morning. See non-club events.

Agreed, but Autobahn is w/ instruction, (less people) and (IMO) a WAY better, more fun, safer track. Now as far as work goes, you are 100% on target, but I have another driving event on Sunday the 14th. I also have friends that will be @ Autobahn, so all the more reason…
