WRAPUP: We had about a dozen MINIs head out for a 20 mile scenic backroads drive, and arrived together at the Micro Car show. Several CMMC members were displaying their MINIs as well as other very cool cars. Almost 400 Micro and Mini cars of all shapes, sizes, and conditions were on display. One group travelled all the way from California along the old Route 66 drive. Volo museum also had a large number of much larger cars for sale inside, with price tags from the low thousands up to a Corvette valued at over $100,000. This was truly an amazing show and a bunch of amazing cars.
Huge thanks to Arnie and Lena for being amongst the small group of people that has spent the past 4 years organizing and planning to make this event as spectacular as it was!!

WRAPUP: We had a small bunch of 3 MINIs zipping through some fun back roads out to Raceway woods, where we met up with and additional 2 cars out for a picnic lunch on a warm but nice day. Three dogs were also lucky enough to participate and enjoy the hiking trails.
We ate lots of encased meats of various kinds (except for the vegitarians), visited and enjoyed each others company, and later explored the forest preserves looking for parts of the historic race track. There was a daring MINI rescue of some hikers who wandered a bit too far away and needed transportation back to the picnic area. Spirits were revived with a bit of water and some ice.. A great event at a fun location!!

WRAPUP: About a dozen MINIs came out to enjoy Supercar Saturday.. a great mix of newer and older club members. We had an initial get-together and a short drive out to Glenview. A bit of rain in the middle kept some of the coolest cars away, but there was still plenty of neat stuff to look at. We decided to take a neighborhood drive, and the weather cleared out for smooth sailing, and a lunch stop at a great Hot Dog stop. Huge thanks to Francis for all the event and route planning!!

WRAPUP: A bit of early evening drizzle did not dampen the enthusiasm for hanging out at the worlds coolest Hot Dog place. 40 MINIs, Mini, Lotus, and a few other cars showed up over the evening from such faraway places as Madison, Milwaukee, and even New Jersey (plus a bunch of people from much closer). A really great evening to hang out and visit, look at cool cars, have some great food, and enjoy each others company.
Huge thanks to Arnie for making all the arrangements to provide for such a fun evening, even though he was unable to attend..

WRAPUP: 15 or so MINIs headed out for a beautiful morning drive up Sheridan Road. We reached our destination at Axels Automotive and were joined by another half dozen or so MINIs (and Mini). After some visiting and food we went into the Shop area and were treated to demos of a rear brake rotor and pad change, alignment and road force tire balancing. We were able to ask questions, and see all the details up close and in person. Nick and Axel even checked out a few other problems on peoples cars. They then fired up the grill and treated us to cheeseburgers, drinks and chips.
What a great chance to hang out and learn a bunch about our MINIs! Huge thanks to Axel, Nick and their entire crew for opening up their place to us, and taking such good care of our club.
