Steve from the Midwestern Council Sports Car Clubs (MCSCC) has invited members of our club to participate in their Time Attack/ Autocross at Blackhawk Racetrack on Saturday August 26th.
The MCSCC has also extended a special offer to CMMC members, allowing us a FREE guest pass entry to watch the event by flashing your Membership card. This is a $10 savings from a normal admission pass. If you are missing your membership card and would like to watch, send an e-mail to steve@chicagominiclub.com.
Here are the details:
Where: Blackhawk Farms Raceway in Beloit Wisconsin
When: Saturday August 26th
Cost: Participation fee is $125 before 8/23, $10 more afterwards. Registration is Here. Spectator guest pass is free with CMMC membership card.
Equipment: Most cars only require a Snell 95 M or SA rated helmet. Convertibles, and modded cars may require more (Check Here).
I am one of the staff at this event, so I will be at the track Friday night. If there is a “count” of cars that will show on Saturday, I will “reserve” a paddock space. (all the good ones are reserved by 6 pm on Friday night). Let me know if you want to be trackside, which is dusty due to the road, or in the shade between turns 4 and 5.
Due to my work assignment, I will be set up in the sun by the Tech barn at turn 5.
BFR is in Rockton Illinois, a few miles from Beloit.

Attention Modified MINI Owners.
Midwestern Council of Sports Car Clubs recently changed their safety harness requirements.
A MINI Cooper (S) no longer requires a Harness, just because you put in common improvements such as a pulley, airbox, exhaust.
Look over the website to check out your car. If you have any questions about your cars requirements, write to axtech@mcscc.org
