We have lots of events in the works for the next several months. Details are not complete, but we have dates planned, and will provide more information as things get closer. Keep an eye on the right hand column of this website for links to what is happening..
Here is a short preview of what is comming up:
Cruise and Drive on Saturday August 18th. A fun cruise around the north suburbs, ending at a golf range where you can practice the other kind of driving.
BBQ Drive on Sunday September 16th. Blake will be hosting a drive in the far western suburbs, and a BBQ at his place in the town of Bristol, IL .
Galena Drive – September 29th and 30th Head out for the day or stay overnight. Lots of good roads and fun things to do!!
Pleasant Home Scavenger hunt on Sunday October 7th in Oak Park. Chris and Lori hosted this event last year. It is a great way to have some MINI fun, and check out some interesting area architecture.
Starved Rock Drive on October 28th. This is always one of our larger annual events. Fall colors, beautiful roads, and a great destination make for a can’t miss late fall event. We are working on some driving route variations, and making dining easier than in years past.
Indoor R/C racing.. November 18th will find us indoors at the Hawthorn Mall assembling and racing radio controlled cars. I know a few R/C hotshots that will be sure to have a blast here!!
And if that is not enough, there are several non-club events going on as well. The Chicago forum area of NorthAmericanMotoring is a great place to startup and organize your own meetups. We will also try to link them up on our website for more exposure:
Claddagh Irish Pub in Geneva, Thursday July 26th
Monthly meetup on the 2nd Wednesday of the month.. Plans are in the works for August 8th
Brew City MINI tour.. The MilwaukeeMINIs club is planning a fun event on September 8th. This will be a scavenger hunt and your chance to sample the city of Milwaukee and visit (and taste) some of the things that make the city famous.
