Indoor Kart Racing 1/25

WRAPUP:  Thrills, chills and speed!!  Everyone had a fabulous time at this years event. The racing was close and mostly clean, and what wasn’t clean makes for fun bench racing stories.   The format was a little different, with two person teams and 45 minutes of time, but it actually allowed for a bit of additional racing time, and it is always fun racing on the full size combined track.

The overall Race winners Adam and Scott were awarded gift cards courtesy of Ridemakerz

If you have any photos or video of the event, please send the link (not the actual pictures) to steve@chicagominiclub.com and I will link them here.

  1. Count me in too. Plus I am inviting a guest. BTW-Awesome Ginger-Bread cookies, Steve! Taylors wife forced me to take some home, wish I had taken more than just four. I need that recipe.

  2. I’m in +1 …If it’s getting close to the wire and you need more participants, I have other interested parties.

  3. If it’s getting close to the wire and you need more participants, I have other interested parties.

Other interested participants is good at this point. There are about a dozen spots open, but not everyone has gotten their money in yet (and I haven’t checked the PO box since Friday) so the numbers may change a bit..

  4. I would like to go (and join the CMMC) along with my wife. Are there stills spots available?

Yep, you are good!! I’ll hold a couple spots for you.

  5. Are there still spots available for this event?

    Yes there are..

Not everyone has sent in their checks to lock in, but there are about 10 open spots as of right now including the reserved and not locked people. This event has been opened up to a few additonal car groups so more spots will fill very soon.

I’ll reserve one for you if you like, it would be great to see you there!!

  6. David Lieb and Willy Thompson would like to sign up if there is still room. How many spots left?

  7. It will be fun to have you join us again David!!

At this point there are only 4 open spots remaining, although not everyone has locked in yet.

  8. Hey Steve, i am sending in my check tomorrow, so if my spot isnt still reserved i would like to re-reserve it.

  9. Our check is in the mail!
I just wish we didn’t have to have teams. I feel sorry for the poor soul that gets stuck with me…

  10. Dave, put on some shoes and you will be fine!

I have never done this, Im sure I will be DFL! btw, can we bring our own gear? I have an sa helmet, that is current, and would just as soon not put on a “loaner” if I didnt have to.

  11. Hi Willy,

You can bring your own helmet, several people do. I have once seen a helmet refused (no faceshield), and the person then needed to use the supplied helmets and headsocks.

  12. Any open spots remaining? How would I get registration done prior to attending if snail mail is slow? Can I complete everything and bring it with, if there is an opening? Thanks.

  13. Huge thanks to everyone (club members, guests and friends of the Chicago MINI Motoring Club) for making this event so much fun!!

I had a blast as always. The bruises will heal soon. Looking forward to next years event!!

  14. Steve thanks for putting a great event and being a great driving partner along with setting the fastest lap for us! Had a great time as always.
