WRAPUP: We had 21 racers attemding this year, down a few due to weather… Several new faces, and many regulars. Lots of close racing action on the challenging new track layout. I’m sure everyone was good and tired after 4 heats of racing. Afterwards we hung out and enjoyed a giant pizza + drinks.. Thanks to our friends at Melrose Park Indoor Grand Prix for taking good care of our club!

Fast guy was Martin M. at 32.134, winner of the Speed Racer helmet

January is indoor kart racing time at the Chicago MINI Motoring Club. Come on out for some high speed racing action on a fun track!!
WHEN: Sunday Jaunary 27th at 11:15 am
WHERE: Melrose Park Indoor Grand Prix 2225 West North Avenue Melrose Park Il, 60160
DETAILS: This year we will do the same format as last year.. Four open races of about 8 minutes each. Bragging rights will be determined by fastest individual lap times, not by overall place.
WHO: This event is open to Chicago MINI Motoring Club members, and friends of CMMC. You must be 18 or over and have a valid drivers license.
PRICING: This is a fantastic price for over 30 minutes of intense racing action.
$30 per person for current CMMC member and up to 1 guest.
$35 per person for Non-Members or additional CMMC guests.
$5 per person if you would like to stay afterwards and hang around for a late lunch of Pizza + soda after racing is complete

IMPORTANT REGISTRATION DEADLINE: All money needs to be collected by Saturday January 19th!! We will be e-mailing an additional karting pre-registration link in the final week to speed up the morning sign in process. UPDATE: Plan is to e-mail the additional link in the evening of 1/21/2013
NOTE: We will not be collecting money on race morning so make sure you are all set ahead of time!!
