Road America 6/23-6/25?

CMMC club member Cliff has been working with several area MINI and BMW clubs to get a special car corral parking area for the Grand Am race at Road America on June 23rd-25th.

The parking area will be near turn 14, and there will even be grills available if you were interested in cooking your own food.

They are also working on a 20% off group ticket buy if there is enough interest.

It is important to get a head count of people planning on attending. Please add a comment to this post, and we’ll hook you up with Cliff.

Wisconsin Drive April 16th

    

We will be joining forces with the Milwaukee MINIs and other area clubs for a fun group drive on some twisty Wisconsin back roads.  We have moved our traditional early spring drive date back a little bit to Saturday April 16th to hopefully catch a bit of warmer weather.

WRAPUP:  Rain, cold, drizzle, and even a bit of snow..  Not the best of conditions, but we still attracted 25 or so MINIs (and one Honda Del Sol)  from the Chicagoland and Milwaukee areas to cruise some fun back roads.  The wet conditions made the turns a bit more challenging, and a good time was had by all.   We then stopped off for a late lunch at the Bristol 45 Diner.  Huge thanks again to the Milwaukee MINIs for joining us, Pat for the route planning, Cherissa for the lunch coordination, and the Bristol 45 Diner for being able to accommodate our crowd.

BMW Club Schools

The Windy City BMW club has invited members of our club to participate in several of their upcoming schools at their club member rates.  These are incredibly well run events, and you are sure to learn a bunch about how you and your MINI perform at their limits.  Knowlegeable instructors (including some from our club) help make your experience safe and fun.  These classes traditionally fill up very fast so check out the info below and sign up ASAP.

Spring Drive March 19th

 

WRAPUP:  Sunny spring weather made for an excellent drive!!  35 MINIs of all colors and styles met up for the start.  Lots of new and potential members, and lots of old friends.   We headed out for a 40 or so mile drive around the western suburbs on lots of nice twisty back roads.  We parked up at the top of a parking garage for a short photo op, and then went on to enjoy a nice lunch at The Filling Station.
