WRAPUP: Fantastic day for a drive thru the Vernon Hill cul de sacs and a stop at Superdawg Wheeling We had about 33 MINIs plus some MINI friends in their non-MINIs who came to hang out and visit.

We’ve done this route enough times that the people in the neighborhood now know to come out to watch the parade of MINIs looping thru with lots of beeping and waving.

It was great to visit with new and old MINI friends at Superdawg and enjoy some tasty treats.

WRAPUP: We had a small but enthusiastic group for our drive to Volo Bog..

It was drizzly, sunny, warm and cool at various times thru the day. We explored some fun twisty roads, got a little lost and all made it to the Volo Bog.. The bog was wet, so the floating piers were very float-y.. A fun time was had by all

Happy 21st Birthday to the Chicago MINI Motoring Club!

On this date in 2003 was our first official club drive along Lake Shore Drive and Sheridan road and we began collecting membership dues.

Here’s to many more years!!

Just a super casual Saturday afternoon MINI get-together for a short drive on one of the North Shore’s nicest roads ending with a stop for Ice Cream!!

WRAPUP: We had about 18 MINIs gather at Plaza Del Lago for the start of the drive. A few first timers and plenty of old friends The temperatures dropped significantly and clouds rolled in just prior to the start of the drive, but the wetness held off until after we reached our end destination. High traffic held the speeds down but left plenty of time for sightseeing of the amazing homes along Sheridan Road.
We filled the parking lot of La Michoacana Bella and enjoyed some time to visit and eat tasty Ice Cream.

Come on out for a fun weekend event to explore the beautiful roads in the Western Wisconsin driftless area.
The “alphabet roads” of Wisconsin’s driftless area may be the best kept car and motorcycle enthusiasts secret in the upper midwest. The driftless area features rugged terrain that was never scoured by glaciers, offering stunning ridgelines, secluded valleys and endless rolling hills – geography that seems more like the Appalachian foothills than Wisconsin. The main rally event will be our “Coffee and Curves Run” that will take in some of the best motoring the area has to offer.

WRAPUP: We were greeted with perfect weather for the weekend.. A good mix of CMMC, Milwaukee and Madison MINIs attended this Friday-Sunday event.. The roads were twisty.. the driving was fun.. we had a chance to hang out with MINI friends. There was enough excitement and interest that we are looking at doing another event next year!!
