Windy City BMW Driving School

WRAPUP:  Fantastic weather made for a great weekend at the track.    The Windy City BMW club did an excellent job with organization,  attention to details,  safety, and making sure everyone had a good time.  There were 5 or 6 MINIs participating and they are hoping for more in the future.  This is a wonderful way to learn what you and your car can really do in a safe and controlled environment.

The Windy City BMW club is hosting a two day Driving School at Gingerman Raceway in South Haven Michigan on June 27th and 28th.  This is the perfect chance to improve your general driving skills and also experience the thrills of driving on a race track.

In an effort to increase cross club participation and awareness, they are offering the Chicago MINI Motoring Club special pricing and admittance to this event.

The application form and additional information and requirements are located Here

The discounted cost to Chicago MINI Motoring Club members is $350 for the two days and includes a 1 year BMWCCA membership (a $40 value) .

Huge thanks to the board of the Windy City BMW club for making this offer available to us, and to Jim for helping coordinate the effort!!

Also check out the track day at Putnam Park on August 22nd and 23rd Here

  1. The application says that the priority is given to BMWCCA members and then left over spots to others, so does that mean that if we send our application and payment we won’t know for a while if we’re in?

The Windy City BMW board explicitly invited Chicago MINI Motoring Club members to encourage cross club participation, so I believe if you send the application in you are good at this point (without a wait).

I am trying to work out the details to do this event as well..

  3. Eugene:

The statement about priority to BMWCCA members is a standard clause in the Windy City BMW event applications. As part of this offer Windy City BMW pays for your one year BMWCCA membership so if you register you would be considered a member.

Hope that clarifies and hope to see many new MINI’s at Gingerman!

    Regards,

    Jim
