WRAPUP: Fantastic weather brought out about a dozen MINIs to the Windy City BMW car show.. We outnumbered the BMW’s in the show this year.
We got a chance to hang around and visit, plus watch the BMW driving school happening at the same time. Additional bonus was a 1/2 hour of lunchtime lapping on the track at moderate speeds.
A fun time was had by all!

The Windy City BMW club has invited the Chicago MINI Motoring Club to share in their Car Show held at Autobahn race track on Saturday May 20th.
This is in conjunction with their Performance Driving Event held on the same day.
Come on out and show off your MINI!!
WHERE: Autobahn Country Club 3795 CenterPoint Way Joliet
WHEN: Saturday 5/20 10am to 2pm
WHAT: A casual Car show/Car corral area, you can watch the performance driving school cars on track, hang out with MINI friends.
I have been told we will also be able to participate in moderate speed lunchtime lapping on the track. This will be a slower speed lead/follow activity but will give you a sampling of what it is like on a race course.
