Cougars Game Meetup September 5th

There are still about 30 tickets remaining for the Kane County Cougars game on Monday September 5th. Ticket price is $8.

We will meet-up at Patrick MINI, leave at 1pm and take a scenic drive to make the 2pm game.

If you are interested in attending, please post here or email steve@chicagominiclub.com to confirm a spot.

This event is open to anyone, so bring along the friends and family for a great day.

Lake County Rally October 16th

Save The date for a Sunday morning Lake County Rally on October 16th!!

Club member Pat is creating an interesting drive through some scenic roads, and there will be some rally questions to keep the co-pilot entertained as well.

Rally Wrapup: After a wet start in Evanston, 22 cars cruised up Sheridan road and headed out to nicer weather at the Buffalo Grove Culvers. We were joined by another 10 or 12 MINI's (and Mini) for a bit of hanging out. Cars were judged on the Most Mods and least mods, and awards were presented.

To celebrate the CMMC's second birthday we've planned something special. We're going to start out with a rally up a road we haven't visited in awhile, the always twisty and scenic Sheridan Rd. From there we'll take a big left turn and head out to Buffalo Grove. Once there will meet-up at the local Culvers (location info here) for both a MINI car show and our first CMMC swap meet. Exotic Car Show September 10

Charity Exotic Car Show to benefit the Special Kids network.

Greetings,
You are invited to The Exotic Car Show in Wheeling,IL (suburb of Chicago) September 10, 2005. You are invited to enter a vehicle or set up a vendor booth. If you are entering a vehicle the classes are for High End, Exotic
vehicles, and special interest vehicles.

Exotics include Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Maserati, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Bugatti, Aston Martin.

High End includes Hummer H1 and H2, Mercedes 500 class and above, BMW 6 class , Mini Coopers and above with at least two modifications over stock
vehicle. Mods can include after market wheels, body kits, true custom systems.

Special Interest Vehicles must be fully modified vehicles that have the complete works. To include Aftermarket Wheels, Full custom sound system with Fiberglass work, no less then 3 video screens, Body kits etc. Special Interest
vehicles should be up to such a standard that you could show said vehicle at CES or SEMA. Judging Starts at the gate.

While I don't think my Cooper could quite pass for an exotic, I know a few of you out there have some pretty decked out MINIs.. I will add additional information about the show as I find out about it (exact location and time, etc). This sounds like a cool show to watch as well.
