The Chicago MINI Motoring Club turns 20 years old!!

The Chicago MINI Motoring Club hosted it’s first official drive and formally opened it’s doors as a club on July 12th 2003

We had about 30 MINIs line up on the drive at the Adler Planetarium and take a cruise up Lake Shore Drive and Sheridan road.

Huge thanks to everyone who has been passionate about MINIs and have supported our club over all these years!!

Head out to Naperville on a Tuesday evening to hang out with some MINI friends and enjoy some Ice Cream!!

The Joliet stop of MINI Tales Route 66 will end with a Joliet Slammers baseball game on Saturday July 1st.

Checking if there is any interest for Chicago MINI Motoring Club members to join in on the night.

Regular price tickets are $12 but there is a possibility of a discounted price depending on how many people are committed to attend.

WRAPUP: Fantastic weather brought out about a dozen MINIs to the Windy City BMW car show.. We outnumbered the BMW’s in the show this year.

We got a chance to hang around and visit, plus watch the BMW driving school happening at the same time. Additional bonus was a 1/2 hour of lunchtime lapping on the track at moderate speeds.

A fun time was had by all!

Join us for a drive into Wisconsin to sample some fun roads, ending at Gus’s Drive-in located in East Troy!

WRAPUP:

We had almost 30 MINs show up to Northshore Sportscars for an adventure drive.. we faced rain, snow flakes, sleet and eventually cool but sunny weather on the way to Gus’s drive in.. We explored a few twisty roads and the rollercoaster Alden road on the longer way up there.

Come on out for an early season short double donut drive.. Starting in Glenview and ending in Elk Grove Village

WRAPUP: A sunny but chilly morning brought out almost 20 MINIs for an early spring drive. We had several first time attendees, plus there were many children tagging along to sample a couple area donut shops.

We started at Joe Donut in Glenview and then explored a couple twisty roads on the way to the final destination at Krispy Kreme.

A sweet time was had by all!!
