I know there are several Chicago Area people planning on attending this year’s MINIs on the Dragon event..? Beautiful country, challenging roads, vendors, ?and several hundred MINIs to hang out with.

Who would be interested in doing a track day at Gingerman Raceway in 2012??No idea about prices, dates, required equipment, etc.?I believe they are looking to see if there is a large enough group of people to make it?possible..

October is a great month for Motoring.. The weather is still nice, the summer crowds are gone, and the leaves are starting to turn.
There are lots of area MINI events out there for October besides our Microcar Museum visit on the 1st and Halloween party on the 22nd.

WRAPUP: Over 30 MINIs showed up to hang out and check out the new dealership. Lots of old friends, new and potential members, and a few friends from the Minis In Northern Illinois club. We were treated to a pair of Countryman Hotdog cars, plus the new MINI Coupe. MINI of Chicago pulled out the grill and cooked up a buch of brats, hot dogs, and burgers. Thanks to MINI of Chicago for hosting a fun hangout for our club!!

The Chicagoland Austin Healey and MG clubs are having a little Gymkhana/Autocross event this Sunday Jun 12th in Warrenville, and have extended and invitation for Chicago MINI Motoring Club members to attend. This will likely be a very tight and twisty course that will be challenging for our “large” MINIs to run, but it should be a bunch of fun.
WRAPUP: Perfect weather, and a fun crowd of really cool cars. Jim M. was fast car of the day in his M Coupe, and Steve was first place (and only) MINI 😉
