WRAPUP: 15 or so MINIs headed out for a beautiful morning drive up Sheridan Road. We reached our destination at Axels Automotive and were joined by another half dozen or so MINIs (and Mini). After some visiting and food we went into the Shop area and were treated to demos of a rear brake rotor and pad change, alignment and road force tire balancing. We were able to ask questions, and see all the details up close and in person. Nick and Axel even checked out a few other problems on peoples cars. They then fired up the grill and treated us to cheeseburgers, drinks and chips.
What a great chance to hang out and learn a bunch about our MINIs! Huge thanks to Axel, Nick and their entire crew for opening up their place to us, and taking such good care of our club.

Looking like a great morning for a drive!!
Just returned from Axels Auto. What a nice day. Thanks to the planners. I don’t know if we paid for anything as a club but in either case I sure was impressed with the hospitality shown by Axel’s, also Good to see people that know their stuff. Big day for me, I didn’t get lost. I stayed right behind Steve most of the way.
Thanks for putting me there Steve, otherwise, who knows.
Jerry
Another big thanks to Axels. They put on a great show in every aspect!
To answer your question Jerry. Axels paid for everything (Breakfast, Lunch) and gave away all the labor for the alignment, brake job and road force wheel balancing work. I thought it was really great that they had more than a half a dozen people working on Saturday… just for our club. THANKS AGAIN TO EVERYONE @ AXEL’S. MUCH APPRECIATED. Side note, the back shop was closed when we were there. It’s at least as big as the entire front. Next time you’re there, check it out.
This was a great way to spend a Saturday. A huge thanks to Arnie for making this happen and to Axel’s for their hospitality and generosity!!!
I’d like to thank everyone for stopping by on Saturday and allowing us to lend a helping hand with the Club.
I hope all of you gained a little insight from the Demonstrations and enjoyed your day off with us.
Hope to see you all again, we had a great time.
