Indiana Dunes Drive 3/24

 

We will be joining up with the Northwest Indiana MINIacs and the MINI Car Club of Indiana at the Indiana Dunes Recreation area on March 24th.

WRAPUP:  It was a chilly day, but we missed the expected snow storms.. The Chicagoland group met up at Club member Juan S shop,  Frankies Window tinting and got to watch a bit of their tinting work in action.  We headed off in a 20 MINI caravan out to Indiana, where we met up with an additional 20 or so MINIs from the Fort Wayne club and the Northwest Indiana MINIacs.  Chunky Taco food truck served up some delicious grub, and the Dunes Visitors Center opened their doors to give us a warm inside space to eat and visit.

WHERE: Start is at Frankie’s Window Tinting 1100 N Ridge Ave, Lombard, IL 60148

End destination is the Indiana Dunes Visitors Center

WHEN: Departure time is at 9:30 to arrive at the Dunes by about 11am

WHO:  CMMC members, Northwest Indiana MINIacs, MINICCI members and any MINI owners interested in attending.

WHAT:  A drive to to the Indiana Dunes Visitors Center to meet up with MINI Members from multiple clubs to hang out and have fun.

WHAT TO Bring: We will be taking some toll roads, so pack your IPass, full tank of gas, dress for the weather with your favorite MINI gear, and a smile.

If you are looking for an overnight stay in Chesterton. This is the Best Western Indian Oak, and it is only 5 minutes away from the Indiana Dunes Visitor Center!
They are willing to give you a group rate of $101.99 + tax per night. To secure the rooms, they need you to call and put a credit card on file. Call or email them pretty quickly; This event is the same weekend as a major basketball tournament, and hotels are being booked like crazy.
