Once again we will be returning to the Chicago Indoor Racing
Facility in Buffalo Grove on Sunday Jaunary 16th for a MINI Club Go Karting event. We will have a drivers meeting at 11:00am, and racing from Noon until 1pm.

We have spots for the first 30 people (members plus 1 guest). Price will again be $40. To reserve a spot download this form, enclose a check and send it in to the club P.O. Box (listed on the form).

For those that haven?t raced yet at the track it?s an absolute blast. It?s a very professional facility and only those over 18 can race with a
valid drivers license. Further, you?re required to wear a full drivers
suit and helmet (all provided as part of the price). It?s so real and so fun you?ll even be a little sore afterwards! All in all it?s a great
experience that is truly addicting.

For you interested MCS owners, it looks like there will be a Randy Webb Pully Party on December 12th at a club members family farm in Dekalb in a large heated shop building.

The 3rd annual MINIs on the Dragon run will take place May 5-9, 2005 at Deals Gap, North Carolina.

Its a 318 turns in 11 miles incredible 2nd gear roller coaster ride, continiously changing from idle to redline through major elevation changes with hardly a straightaway in sight.

There are a couple of Chicago area people attending the event this year, so feel free to post here or in the Club forum for plans to meet up and caravan down together.

Although details are still in the works, we wanted to share information about our upcoming events so you can start planning for them:

December Holiday Hangout:

What: A casual winter get-together and chance to hang out and visit with MINI friends.

Where: Schaumburg area. Still working on a place.

When: Sunday December 12th late afternoon.

We will likely require rsvps ahead of time for planning.

January Indoor Go-Karting

What: A mid-winter chance to burn up the pavement at the beautiful Chicago Indoor Racing facility

Where: Buffalo Grove

When: Sunday January 16th at 11:00 am

This event, like the previous times, will be open to active club members plus a guest, and there will be a limited number of open spots (probably around 30). Since we need to front deposit money for renting the track we will again require the entry fees to be sent in ahead of time.

February Auto Show

We don?t have details yet, but we are hoping to have an event similar to what we did last year. This event will also be open only to active club members, and there will be limited spots.

March Return to Millies

A scenic drive up to Millies Restaurant located a bit northwest of Lake Geneva. This will be a re-do of one of our early pre-club events, and a chance to return to the famed ?roller coaster (Roberts) road?. We are hoping the weather in early March will be a little warmer than the previous ride.

One bit of information we do not collect is what colors everyones cars are.
