CMMC & MINI USA Chicago Auto Show Event

About 20 MINIs braved the cold cold Saturday weather for the drive down to the Auto Show. After fueling up on Donuts and Cupcakes we headed down a salty Sheridan road and Lakeshore drive and eventually made it to McCormick Place.
First stop was the MINI exhibit where we had our first chance to be up close and personel with the new 2007 MINI’s. MINIUSA provided a special VIP area on the 2nd floor of the exhibit where we had a chance to have a continental breakfast and drinks.
After that, people split up and went to check out lots of cars.

Once again the CMMC will be partnering with MINI USA to bring you a unique way to see the Chicago Auto Show. And with the local debut of the next generation Cooper and Cooper S, this year promises to be one to remember.

CMMC Indoor Karting event Jan 28

Thrills, chills, spills, spectacular carshes, red flag pitting drama, and incredible racing!!
We had it all. The long course was tricky but lots of fun, there was plenty of racing action, and a little bit of “rubbing” going on.
Thanks to all who attended including a number of members of the Milwaukee MINIs club, and the Chicagoland MG club. Looking forward to doing this again soon.

Badger Bimmers Karting 12/31
Here is a great tuneup race prior to the CMMC January Karting event :
The Badger Bimmers Wisconsin Chapter of the BMWCCA have invited the Chicago MINI Motoring Club to join them for Indoor Go-Karting located in Buffalo Grove, Il on Sunday December 31st..
The format will be a 1 hour enduro with 2 person teams. Cost is $100 per person.
There are a few spots still open.
Meet at 8:30am, orientation is at 9:00 and the race starts at 10:00.
