January is Kart Racing season for the Chicago MINI Motoring Club, and we have a new venue and racing format this year! We will be racing at K1 Speed in Buffalo Grove with their electric karts in a 3 race Grand Prix series
WRAPUP: A dozen people braved the snowy weather and participated in this year’s event. Lots of close racing and fun action. Jim M. took fast guy of the day honors.

UPDATE: Sorry all.. we were not able to get enough cars/people lined up in time to make this happen. We are going to try to get plans in place earlier next year and make a go of having a CMMC exhibit at next year’s show.

Not an official club event, but a few people will be taking a short cruise to visit the Mars Cheese Castle in Kenosha.
WRAPUP: 9 MINIs came out for a warm but wet morning drive. One flat tire mishap was quickly repaired and we made our way to the Cheese Castle for some shopping and eating.

WRAPUP: It was a beautiful but chilly day. Over 50 MINIs attended our last driving event of the season. Bill Jacobs MINI graciously opened up on a Sunday and even brought us a tasty breakfast and some nice give-aways. After a fun drive thru some nice twisty roads we ended the day at MJ’s Pub & Grill.. some people went on to visit Starved Rock state park. Thanks again to the staff at Bill Jacobs, and MJ’s Pub, plus Chris B. for helping with arrangements and morning check-in, and Lee E. with route planning assistance!!
