There has been some interest on the MINI boards of having a Chicago area Pulley Party run by Randy Webb of Webb Motorsports.
I have also heard that the pulley parties are coming to an end, and there are only a few open dates remaining, likely 5/20-5/21..
Anyone interested in having their MCS upgraded with a different supercharger pulley or other work, please post here to see if we can do this!!

Unfortunately plans have changed for the Knauz Garage Day. Due to the attorneys getting involved we will not be able to do any work ourselves at Knauz and thus the garage day will not happen as planned. However Knauz as graciously offered each of us a chance to get complimentary inspections by their cheif MINI mechanic and ask any of those questions that we’ve always wondered about. So this event has really changed from an open garage to more of a MINI tech Q&A. This could perfect for the folks who also want to do a tech spec before heading out to various track events for the summer or just want to get a free check-up and learn more about their MINI.
That said, this may be dissapointing to more than a few out there who had hoped for some quality shop time at great facilities. However I’d like to thank the folks at Knauz who are still more than willing to host us and provide these complimentary inspections. And of course any work that you would like to get done, they will certainly help set up an appointment and offer a discount. Knauz will also offer a 20% discount on most parts as well.
So, for all those that expressed interested, I’d like to ask you let us know if you’re still interested. We’ll be creating a loose schedule in the next couple of days
And for all those that would like to have some sort of CMMC Garage Day, we’re going to try to put something together very soon.

Knauz MINI and the CMMC are teaming up for an open garage day for all CMMC members. Knauz will be offering us several lifts and garage bays to work on our cars and 20% off all MINI parts throughout the day.
This is a perfect opportunity for the folks who have some mods or accessories to add to their MINI but don’t have the lift and/or the garage to help with installation. It’s also an ideal time to work on your car since Knauz will have a few MINI technicians on hand should any questions come up. And it’ll be an ideal opportunity to discuss mods and get help with installations from other MINI owners
When: The Open Garage day will take place on Saturday April 29th and will start around 8:30 am and go until around 1 pm.
Where: Knauz MINI! Just park near the MINI dealer at Knauz and meet inside. We’ll go from there!

Congrats to the MINIs that participated in the Midwestern Council Sports Car Clubs high speed autocross on April 8th at the Autobahn Country Club.
CMMC members included Brian L.,Gabriel B.,John D., Matt A., Carl M., and Steve D. Times for the Cooper Ss in the various classes ranged from 1:19.185 to 1:27.399

The Windy City Morgan Owners Group has extended an invitation to our club to participate in their Autocross event held at the MGA Research Corporation proving grounds in Burlington Wisconsin on Sunday May 21st.
Cost will be $50 including lunch, and they are planning on at least 5 timed runs.

Saturday April 22nd Brookfield Zoo. We are meeting up at a Krispy Kreme at 9:15 (a touch earlier than the original post time), taking a very short drive and off to hang out at the Zoo. There are still 16 free tickets remaining for club members and up to 3 guests. Check out the original post Here.

A new club, the Milwaukee MINIS has just started up. Check out their website at www.milwaukeeminis.com.
Their first event will be driving the Milwaukee Mile on Sunday May 7th.

I had a couple of track day invitations from other clubs in my e-mail this afternoon, asking if CMMC members would like to come out to play…
Monday May 1st The Chicago Region SCCA will be hosting a Performance Driving Experience (PDX) track day at Blackhawk Farms Raceway in Rocton Illinois. Check out information Here for entry form, fees, equipment, etc.
Thursday May 11th Grattan Track Day 2006. This is a low cost easy way to get a bunch of track time at Grattan Racetrack located in Belden Michigan. Click Here for details and registration information.
