The Road Warrior Rock Run 11/18

The Road Warrior Rock Run, is our annual drive out to Starved Rock State Park.  It was renamed to honor long time club and board member Conrad, who died unexpectedly last year.  This is always our final large driving event of the season.

WRAPUP:   Two Dozen MINIs came out for our annual event despite bad weather. MINI of Orland Park greeted us with Donuts, Coffee and a visit from the Red Bull MINI to get us charged up.  We took a stop for pictures in front of the Gemini Giant at the Launching Pad restaurant.  We survived water covered streets , cold, rain and even a little snow en-route to Starved Rock.  The good news is that the bad weather made for great parking and fast service at the park restaurants.  Huge thanks to Kevin N. at MINI of Orland Park, Holly and Tully at the Launching Pad for our stops, David L. and Shawn H. for pre-driving the route!!

Sheridan Road Drive 10/28

We will take a casual Saturday afternoon cruise up beautiful Sheridan road for our October event

WRAPUP: A chilly day brought out about 25 MINIs for a fun cruise up Sheridan Road..  Several were first timers.  We had an unexpected detour towards the end that got several people separated, but we all made it to the ending destination.  We raffled off a number of cool items from MINIUSA and a MINI plaque from club member David L.  Thanks to Tamara H. and Digby for scouting out the food destination and assisting on the drive!!

MINI on the Mack

WRAPUP:  Another great MINI on the Mack is in the books.  We were a little over 100 cars short of the record 1450, but we had a fun time trying..  The 40 mile parade included an out and back drive on a highway were we saw over 10 miles of MINIs to beep and wave at.  The organizers did a great job dealing with the incredible amount of MINIs and keeping things organized and people fed.  Looking forward to going back for another attempt.. 4th time is a charm 😉
