Bill Jacobs MINI has extended an exclusive invitation to the club for a breakfast preview of the new Paceman. And as a special treat afterwards we’ll have an opportunity to take our own MINIs out on their test track! So bring an appetite and your MINI for a morning of fun with Bill Jacobs MINI!
WRAPUP: A chilly morning greeted 15 MINIs for a drive down to the show.. We met up with others who drove on their own, and were granted VIP early access to the show for almost 50 of us. We were able to get up close and personal with the new JCW GP and Paceman and check out all the goodies at the MINI exhibit.. Then we were off to check out the rest of the cars at the Auto Show. Huge thanks again to MINIUSA and to Knauz MINI for helping with the arrangements for our club and for the event tickets!!
WRAPUP: We had 21 racers attemding this year, down a few due to weather… Several new faces, and many regulars. Lots of close racing action on the challenging new track layout. I’m sure everyone was good and tired after 4 heats of racing. Afterwards we hung out and enjoyed a giant pizza + drinks.. Thanks to our friends at Melrose Park Indoor Grand Prix for taking good care of our club!
Fast lady of the day went to Anne C. at 34.252
Fast guy was Martin M. at 32.134, winner of the Speed Racer helmet
We have recently moved our Chicago MINI Motoring Club website hosting to the servers over at www.motoringalliance.com

A huge thanks to Nathan for helping our club out with the web hosting.

We saw the amazing fall colors, some wild life, animal sculptures, and lots of fun?roads.? We made it to?the New Glarus Brewery in time for a quick tour and?a beer stock-up for those that had extra room in their?trunks.? Huge thanks to Paul and Barbara for all the route planning, and leading and pacing the group!!
